Easy Korean Crispy Vegan Nuggets

Today I’ve teamed up with Nowadays Nuggets. Nowadays is the company bringing you delicious and simple plant based meats. Their nuggets are made with only seven ingredients that you can actually pronounce.

They have 13grams of protein, and are non GMO and soy-free. They really are the perfect healthier snack alternative for kids and adults alike.

1/2 tbsp sesame oil

1-2 tbsp of soy sauce

3 tbsp brown sugar

3 tbsp of maple syrup

3 tbsp of Gochujang paste

3 tbsp of rice wine vinegar

1 tbsp crushed garlic

1 tbsp minced ginger

1-2 tbsp of chili garlic sauce

1 tbsp ketchup

1 1/2 tbsp of cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch mixed with equal parts water)

Roughly 20 pieces of Nowadays Nuggets, you can get them here

Sesame seeds

Green onions, sliced


Prepare nuggets according to directions (we air fried at 370 for 10 mins, turning halfway through)

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat

Add first 10 ingredients

Whisk while cooking

Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring often

Turn heat to low

Stir in cornstarch slurry

Stir until thickened

Turn off heat

Add in your nuggets and toss to combine

Plate nuggets

Top with sesame seeds and green onions

Serve and enjoy!
