      Cheesy Broccoli Patties

       

       

       

      The next best thing since Nutritional Yeast! Even if you don't love Broccoli, you have got to try these bad boys! 

       

       

       

      Ingredients:

      10oz silken tofu

      3 garlic cloves

      ½ yellow onion, diced

      2 cups chopped day old bread

      Salt and pepper

      Pinch of sugar

      1.5 cups of Follow your Heart cheddar shreds

      1/2 cup flour

      1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast

      1 Follow Your Heart Vegan Egg

      2 broccoli heads, roughly 2-3 cups of broccoli florets

      Oil for frying

      Serve with Yogurt Sauce, Recipe below

       

      Directions:

      In a food processor add the first 4 ingredients

      Blend until mixed well, should be like pancake batter

      Add you chopped broccoli to a large bowl

      Add in your batter mix

      Mix well to coat

      Add in the remaining ingredients, minus the oil

      Mix well

      Place into refrigerator for at least an hour

      Heat a little oil in a large frying pan

      Create roughly 3 inch circle patties

      Place into hot oil

      Fry on each side for 3-4 minutes

      Continue with remaining batter

      Serve with your Yogurt Sauce and enjoy!

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

       

      Yogurt Sauce:

      (Mix together the following ingredients and marinate for 1 hour in refrigerator)

      6oz of plain almond yogurt

      2 tablespoons of FYH sour cream

      ½ of 1 lemon, juiced

      1 heaping tablespoon of dried dill

      Dash of the following: Salt, Pepper, Garlic pepper, Paprika

      ½ teaspoon of Garlic powder and onion powder
