Chicken-less Piccata on Toast

I could drink the sauce from chicken piccata. What better way to enjoy the flavors than placing on top of bread allowing the flavors to absorb in the bread.


1 package Beyond Meat Grillers

1 tablespoon Braggs olive oil

6 tablespoons of earth balance butter, maybe more

1 yellow onion, chopped

4 garlic cloves, minced

2 chicken-less cubes

1-2 tablespoons flour

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1/3 cup of capers

Salt and pepper

1 tablespoons of dried parsley or fresh

Sourdough bread sliced brushed with olive oil and toasted slightly


In a large frying pan heat your grillers with 1 tablespoon of butter olive oil over medium heat

Cook grillers until they begin to brown and stick to the pan

Remove from pan and chop into bite size pieces

Add 3-4 tablespoons of earth balance butter

Add in your onion and sauté until translucent

Add in your garlic and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes

Add in 2 more tablespoons of butter, 1/2 your capers, chicken-less cubes, and lemon juice

Stir until blended well

Whisk in your flour

Whisk until thickened

Stir in your water

Cook for 3 minutes

Add in your remaining capers, parsley, salt and pepper

Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes on low

Turn off heat

Serve on sliced sour dough
