Fish-less Sticks


The classic American and Canadian English dish made Vegan!

Ingredients:

1 can of hearts of palm

1/3 cup of flour

½ cup bread crumbs

Liquid from can of Chickpeas

Salt

Pepper

Italian Seasoning

Oil for frying

Tarter Sauce, recipe below

Directions:

In a food processor, shred your hearts of palm

Make sure there aren’t any extra-long/large pieces

Add to a medium bowl, season with salt

In 1 small bowl add your chickpea liquid

In 1 2nd small bowl add your flour and season with salt and pepper

In a 3rd bowl add your breadcrumbs, season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning

Usin your hands form your hearts of palm into small sticks

Roll into flour, then into your chickpea liquid

Then dip and roll into your bread crumbs, to fully coat

Place onto greased sheet and continue with remaining hearts of palm

Allow to sit for 5 minutes

Heat your oil in a frying pan

When oil is hot add in your fish sticks

Fry on each side until golden brown

Serve with tarter sauce

Tarter Sauce Ingredients:

½ cup of FYH Vegenaise

1 rounded tablespoon of Relish

1 tablespoon of minced onion

Salt and pepper

Directions:

Combine all ingredients

Marinate for 30 minutes in refrigerator
