I can't rave enough about this dish. A Vegan version of the prized popular dish, Bone Marrow. Gross I know, but why not recreate it so those who enjoy it, can enjoy it without harming any animals. That is just what we did here!
Ingredients:
8oz of Crimini mushrooms, chopped finely
½ large white onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ rounded tablespoon nutritional yeast
1 beefless cube
¼ cup of earth balance butter
2 cans of hearts of palm, drained
Italian Parsley, chopped
Directions:
In a large frying pan sauté your onion in 2 tablespoons of butter
After 5 minutes add in your garlic and mushrooms
Continue to sauté over medium high heat for 5 minutes
Add in your beefless cube and 1 tablespoon of butter
Cook for 2-3 more minutes
Turn off heat and allow to cool slightly
Add mushroom mix and nut yeast into a food processor and blend until pureed
Set aside
Preheat oven to 425
Slice your hearts of palm in half and remove the core, set aside to use for other recipes
Stuff each hearts of palm with mushrooms paste
Place into a greased baking pan
Brush the top of each with remaining melted butter
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes
Remove from oven
Plate and garnish with parsley
Serve and Enjoy!
