Green Bean Casserole Bites

All the flavor of classic green bean casserole — creamy, crunchy, savory — packed into a bite-sized appetizer everyone will love.

(Makes 24 Bites)


Ingredients

2 Puff Pastry Sheets

2 cans cut green beans 

12oz mushrooms, chopped

1/2 onion, diced 

3 tbsps vegan butter

2 tbsps flour

Salt and pepper

3/4 cup non dairy milk

3/4 cup broth

Crispy onions

12 mini medium muffin pans 


Directions

Heat a large pan over medium heat

Melt 1 tbsp butter

Add in your onion

Cook for 3-5 minutes 

Add in mushrooms

Cook for 5-8 minutes

Add in green beans and mix well

Melt in remaining butter

Once melted add in flour

Mix

Once thickened add in your milk

Cook and stir 

Then add in broth

Mix and cook until thickened 

If too thick add in more broth or milk

Season generously with salt and pepper

Remove from heat and allow to cool completely 

Preheat oven to 400 

If only one muffin pan work in batches to keep pastry sheet cold

Roll out pastry sheet

Cut sheet into 12 squares

Press squares into greased mini/medium muffin pans

Fill each with green bean casserole

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes

Add crispy onions last 5 minutes of cooking

Remove serve and enjoy!
