BBQ Pull Apart Bread

Today we are making a super delicious and easy to make BBQ Chicken Pull apart bread using vegan friendly biscuit dough!


8oz vegan chicken, cooked and cut into small pieces (we used Sweet Earth Mindful Chicken)

3/4-1 cup BBQ Sauce, we used Kinders BBQ Sauce

7oz Vegan Mozzarella shreds

Dried or fresh chives, roughly 1/4 cup

16.3 oz can of vegan friendly biscuits*

2-3 tbsps melted vegan butter

*Four flavors of Pillsbury Biscuits are vegan: “Grands! Southern Homestyle Original Biscuits,” “Grands! Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits,” “Grands! Flaky Layers Sweet Hawaiian Biscuits,” and “Flaky Layers Buttermilk Biscuits.” The other flavors all contain milk ingredients.


Preheat oven to 350

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper

In a medium bowl add your chicken, bbq sauce and cheese shreds (keep 1/4 cup of cheese for top)

Mix well

Add in 1 tbsp of dried or fresh chives

Mix well

Remove biscuits from package

Carefully peel each biscuit in half to form two pieces

Flatten each biscuit piece to form a disc

Repeat with remaining biscuits to form 16 discs

Place one biscuit disc onto working surface

Top with a little of bbq mix

Repeat with biscuits and bbq mix

Top with last biscuit disc

Gently press down and grab entire stack

Place into lined loaf pan

Spread out the loaf to be evenly distributed in pan

If you have any bbq chicken mix left place ontop of loaf

Sprinkle with reserved 1/4 cup of vegan cheese

Drizzle with melted butter

Top with chives

Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes

If started to brown after 30 minutes cover for remaining cook time

Remove from oven

Serve and enjoy!
