Ingredients
3/4 cup of Browned Vegan butter, learn how to brown butter below
2 Cups of One Degree Organics Sprouted Rolled Oats
1 Cup Packed Dark Brown Sugar
2 Vegan Egg Replacers, we used 6 tbsp of Just Vegan Egg Liquid
1 1/2 cups of Gluten Free Flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Any add ins you might enjoy, we used white chocolate chip flakes and garnished with flaky sea salt
Directions
In a medium bowl add your oats, flour and baking soda
Gently mix
In a large bowl add your cooled browned butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla
Mix
Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients
Using a rubber spatula gently fold together, if too wet add more oats or flour
Add in any of the add ins your using
Place into refrigerator for 30 minutes
Preheat oven to 350
Remove dough from the refrigerator
Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop up dough
Roll into roughly 1 1/2 cup balls
Place onto cookie sheet
Repeat with remaining dough (should make 12 large cookies)
Using your two-three fingers smash down each cookie
Place into preheated oven
Bake for 12-14 minutes
Outer rim of cookie should be starting to brown and center should puffy (will harden up after removing from oven)
Remove from oven, if using salt sprinkle immediately with salt
Let cool for 10-15 minutes
Serve and enjoy!
Brown Butter
Ingredients
1 cup of butter
Directions
Add your butter to a medium sauce pan and heat to medium
Once melted continue to cook and stir/whisk
The butter will start to foam and bubble continue to stir/whisk
you will see it start to separate and turn golden
Continue until it starts to brow, roughly 5-10 minutes
Turn off heat and remove from heat
Let cool
