Bulgogi meat, is a classic Korean dish of thinly sliced, marinated beef. Today we are using Vegan ground meat. If you have seen my previous recipes, I've made an incredible pizza with this recipe. So today we decided to make pinwheels. They are SO GOOD!!
Ingredients 2 tbsp crushed garlic 2 tbsp ground ginger 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 tbsp Gochujang 2-4 tbsp sesame oil 1/3 cup of soy sauce 1/2 cup of vegan mayo 12oz of vegan ground meat 1/2 onion diced Roughly 2 cups of vegan shredded mozzarella 1 sheet of pastry dough, we used pillsbury (you can also use crescent rolls and pinch edges to form rectangle pastry sheet) Green onions, diced
Directions In a medium bowl combine garlic, ginger, sugar, 1/2 tbsp Gochujang, soy sauce and 2 tbsp sesame oil Whisk together until combined In a large non stick pan heat a little sesame oil over medium heat Add in onion Cook until translucent Add in your vegan ground meat Cook, stirring often Once its starting to brown add in your soy sauce mix Cook down for an additional 5-7 minutes Turn off heat and let cool Preheat oven to 375 In a small bowl add remaining Gochujang and vegan mayo Whisk until creamy, should be a light redish color
Roll out your pizza dough pastry
Spread with your spicy mayo, reserve 1/3 cup for later
Sprinkle with vegan cheese and cooked meat
Carefully roll up to form a log
Cut into roughly 1 inch disc to make your pinwheels
Place onto greased baking sheet
Bake in preheated oven for 17-20 minutes
They should be golden
Remove and plate
Garnish with reserved spicy mayo and chopped chives
Serve and enjoy!
