Jalapeño Mac & Cheeze Bites




Today we have teamed up with Daiya to make these #plantbased delicious Jalapeño Mac & Cheeze Bites. #ad


Mac & Cheeze is my absolute favorite comfort dish of all time. From childhood to adulthood, Mac & Cheeze has stood the test of time. And now with the help of Daiyas Deluxe Mac & Cheeze, I can whip up insanely delicious Mac and Cheese to use, in less than 10 minutes. My life is complete


And what better way to take their Mac & Cheeze to the next level by turning them into a dish that you can actually eat with your hands. We used Daiyas Deluxe Cheddar Jalapeño Style Mac & Cheeze to give it an extra kick. Their Mac & Cheeze is so good you'll have a hard time not eating it all before you make the bites! Talk about feel good food!

(This makes roughly 24 bites. Cut recipe in half for less servings)


Ingredients

2-10.6oz packages of Daiyas Cheddar Jalapeño Style Mac & Cheeze

7.1 oz bag of Daiya Cutting Board Cheddar Style Shreds

3/4 cup of plant based milk, plus 1/2 cup for dredging

1-2 jalapenos, diced (optional)

2 cups of Panko breadcrumbs, seasoned with salt

1/2 cup of flour, seasoned with salt

Oil for frying

Daiya Homestyle Ranch Dressing for dipping

Green onions or chives for garnish



Directions

Bring a large pot of water to boil (enough water per instructions on the box)

Add in the pasta from the Daiya box

Cook, stirring often for roughly 7-8 minutes

Drain and return pasta to pot

Turn heat to low-medium

Add in cheese sauce from the box

Mix until creamy

Add in your cheese shreds and 3/4 cup of non dairy milk

Mix until melted

Add in your jalapeños if using

Mix well

Turn off heat

Allow to cool in refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours

Once cool, heat oil in a medium-large frying pan

Place your seasoned flour, bread crumbs and non dairy milk into small separate bowls

Once cool, heat oil in a medium-large frying pan

Enough oil to cover half of your mac bites

Take your cold mac and cheese and form into roughly 1-2 inch balls

Place each ball into flour, then into milk

From the milk press firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to fully coat

Forming into tight balls

Repeat with remaining mac bites

Place bites into hot oil

Fry on each side for roughly 3-5 minutes until golden

Drain on paper towel

Repeat with remaining bites

Plate and garnish with green onions

Serve with ranch for dipping
