PF Chang's Copy Cat Lettuce Wraps

We have created the perfect replica of PF Chang's vegetarian lettuce wraps. This recipe might even be better than theirs, but shhh don't tell them we said so!


1/4-1/3 cup soy sauce

3 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tsp of sesame oil

2 tbsp rice vinegar

14oz Extra Firm Tofu, drained and pressed

10oz of Mushrooms, chopped (We used crimini mushrooms)

8oz can of water chesnuts, drained and chopped

2 tbsp of crushed garlic

1/2-1 tbsps of minced ginger

1-2 tbsps of chili garlic sauce

Roughly 4 green onions chopped

Lettuce leaves of choice, we used Butter Lettuce leaves


Whisk together the first 4 ingredients, set aside

In a medium-large pan (preferably a cast iron) add roughly 2 tbsp of high heat oil

Heat to medium-high

Crumble in your Tofu

Cook tofu for roughly 7 minutes, crumbling more as you cook

Add in your mushrooms

Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until tofu has started to brown

Add in your chestnuts, garlic, ginger, 1/2 pf your chopped green onions, cilantro, and chili garlic sauce

Mix well

Add in your sauce from earlier

Mix well

Continue to cook until thickened, roughly 8-10 minutes

Garnish with remaining green onion

Serve with lettuce of choice

Great recipe, but you forgot to add cilantro in your ingredients : )
