A galette is a French pastry similar to a tart or a pie; it's essentially pastry dough wrapped over a filling made from fruit, sugar, and butter
This one has creamy vegan cheese, topped with roasted butternut squash, sage and finished with a balsamic glaze
Ingredients
1-2 cups of chopped butternut squash
6-8 oz of soft spreadable vegan cheese, we used miyokos smoked cheese (don't use that one if you are not a fan of smoke flavor)
1/3 cup of chopped fresh sage leaves
1 vegan friendly pie dough sheet
Olive oil Salt and Pepper
Balsamic Glaze
Directions
Preheat oven to 425
Toss your squash with a little olive oil and salt
Place on baking sheet and bake until roasted, roughly 20 minutes
Remove and cool slightly
Turn oven down to 400
Place pie dough sheet onto baking sheet
Spread your cheese evenly in the center
Top with your roasted squash
Add your sage leaves
Fold the outside of your pie inward to create your galette
Drizzle with olive oil
Season with salt and pepper
Bake in preheated oven until golden, roughly 23-30 minutes
Remove from oven
Drizzle with balsamic glaze
Serve and enjoy
