Sausage Gravy Monkey Bread

If you’ve been following along you know I love to make different variations of monkey bread. So this time I’m making a Sausage Gravy inspired monkey bread! Perfect breakfast and brunch meal! Ingredients 14-16oz ground vegan breakfast sausage

2-3 tbsps flour

3-4 cups of non dairy milk

1/3 cup nutritional yeast

Salt and pepper

1 rounded cup shredded vegan mozzarella

2 tbsps dried chives, fresh works as well

1 can of vegan friendly biscuits (8 biscuits)

Fresh chives or green onions for garnish


Heat a large deep pan to medium-high

Add in a little vegetable oil followed by your sausage

Cook and crumble until browned

Add in your flour

Once thickened slowly add in your milk, one cup at a time (usually 3 cups of should do it)

Cook for 5 minutes until thickened, add more milk if too thick

Add in your nutritional yeast

Season generously with salt and pepper

Mix well

Turn off heat and let cool

Preheat oven to 375

Chop each biscuit into 8 small pieces

Place into a large bowl

Add your sausage gravy

Add in your chives and cheese

Mix well

Place mixture into greased Bundt pan

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes until golden brown and cooked through

Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes

Place a plate upside down on top of bundt pan

Carefully flip over to release monkey bread

Garnish with fresh chives or green onions

Serve and enjoy!
