Cheesy Mac Bun Burger


A burger with a fried mac and cheese bun?!? Yes Please!!!!

Cheesy Mac Burger Ingredients:

Prepared Mac and Cheese

1 cup of Flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 1/2 cups almond milk

1 rounded teaspoon of yellow mustard

2 cups Ians Natural Food Panko bread crumbs

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1/3 cup Oil for frying

Beyond Meat Beast Burger patties

Burger toppings of choice

Ingredients:

Place saran wrap in a 9x13 baking dish, lightly grease

Take your prepared mac and cheese and press it into prepared dish

Top with another sheet of saran wrap

Place something heave on top to press down entire sheet of mac and cheese

(you can use another baking dish with cans on top)

You want it to really press down good

Place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours

In a small bowl whisk together your flour, cornstarch, milk and mustard

In a second bowl add your bread crumbs and garlic salt

Remove mac and cheese from fridge

Using desired size circle place on top of noodles to trace

(you can also use a biscuit cutter)

Using knife cut circle into mac and cheese to make buns

Should make roughly 6 buns

Handle each bun carefully

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high

Carefully dip each circle bun into wet mix and then into bread crumbs

Press firmly into breadcrumbs to fully coat*

Place into hot oil

Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy

Remove and place on paper towel lined plate

After all buns are done use same pan to quickly fry your beast burger

Fry your beast burger on each side for 1-2 minutes

Build your burger with 2 buns and 1 beast burger with desired toppings

Get ready to fall over with joy!

*Dont worry if mac buns start to fall apart just press them firmly back into shape

You can use Ms Vegans Mac and Cheese Please with 1 tablespoon of agar agar flakes

Or the following recipe:

Macaroni and Cheese Ingredients:

16oz of elbow noodles

1/4 cup of earth balance butter

1/3 cup flour

2-3 cups almond milk, start with add more later if needed

16-18oz Daiya cheddar cheese*

1/2 teaspoon Onion powder

1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1/3 cup nutritional yeast

Salt and pepper

1 tablespoon Agar Agar flakes

*I used 1 wedge and 1 bag of shreds

Directions:

Cook noodles according to package, drain

Melt your butter in large pot over medium-high

When sizzling whisk In your flour

Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk

Followed by agar agar flakes

When fully mixed add in your cheeses

(if using wedge cut up into small pieces before adding

Stir to melt

Add in your nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, and dry mustard

Adding in more milk if too thick

Continue to stir until fully melted

Season with salt and pepper

Add your cooked noodles and stirring to evenly mix cheese with noodles
