These are what you call gourmet burgers. If you ordered this in a restaurant it could easily cost you $20. (Makes 4 burgers)
Ingredients
4 Vegan Burgers of choice, we used Beyond Meat
4 slices of Follow Your Heart Smoked Gouda
10oz of Mushrooms, sliced
Roughly 2 cups of Arugula
1 tbsp of Liquid Aminos
1 tbsp of Butter
Salt and Pepper
Follow Your Heart Vegenaise
4 Pretzel Buns, we used Pretzilla
Ms Vegan Bacon Onion Jam, Recipe HERE
Olive oil
Directions
Heat a medium size frying pan over medium high heat
Add your olive oil
Add your mushrooms and cook for 1 minute
Add in your butter and stir until melted
Cook mushrooms for 3-5 minutes
Add in your liquid aminos and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes
Season with salt and a generous amount of pepper
Set aside, allow to cool and thicken up a bit
Cook your Vegan burger patties
Before removing burgers from grill or pan add your cheese slices
Add a little water to the pan and cover
This will help the cheese melt
Remove once cheese has melted (alternatively you could microwave the cheese to melt onto the burger patties)
Build your burgers
If possible heat your buns for 15 seconds then spread the bottom with your vegenaise
(The warm bun will help soften and smooth the vegenaise onto the bun)
Add your burger patty to the bottom bun
Add a spoonful of your mushrooms mix
Top with a handful of arugula
Spread your top bun with a good amount of the bacon onion jam
Place top bun on top of arugula and gently press down
Repeat with remaining 3 burgers
Serve and enjoy!
