Today we are making easy and delicious crunchy tacos, using flour tortillas and cooking them in the air fryer. You can use corn tortillas as well, and directions for baking are down below as well.
(should make 6 tacos)
Ingredients
1/2 onion, diced
12oz vegan ground meat
1oz taco seasoning
1/4 cup water
Flour Tortillas, street taco size
Vegan cheese shreds
Cooking spray
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes
Cilantro
Vegan sour cream
Vegetable oil
Directions
Heat a large non stick pan to medium
Add in a little oil
Once oil is hot add in your onion
Cook for 5 minutes
Crumble in your vegan ground meat
Cook until browned, turning often
Add in your taco seasoning and water
Mix well
Cook until liquid is absorbed, roughly 5 minutes
Turn off heat and let cool
Heat tortillas in microwave so they are flexible
Sprinkle cheese on half tortilla
Top with taco grounds
Top with a little more cheese
Fold taco in half
Repeat with remaining tortillas
Spray each side of taco with cooking spray
Place onto air fryer pan*
Air fry at 350 for 10 minutes until golden and crispy
Remove and plate
Top with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro
Serve and enjoy!
*You can also bake these. Follow all directions but instead of the air fryer, Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden
