Creamy Mac And Cheese with Chili Crisp

If you love super creamy mac and cheese but want to take it to the next level… this chili crisp version is about to be your new obsession 🔥


This recipe combines rich, cheesy comfort food with the bold, crispy heat of chili crisp for the perfect balance of creamy, spicy, and crunchy. It’s easy to make, insanely satisfying, and guaranteed to impress.


Ingredients

5 tbsps vegan butter

1/4 cup flour

3-4 cups plant based milks, unflavored and unsweetened 

1 tbsps or 1 bouillon cube

Salt 

7oz mozzarella shreds

1/4 cups nutritional yeast 

12-16oz cooked noodles, 1/4 cup pasta water reserved 

Green onions, chopped

Chili oil crisp (The onion one from trader joes is so good)


Directions

Heat a large pan over medium heat

Add in your butter

Once melted add in your flour

Whisk until paste is formed

Slowly add in your milk, one cup at a time

Whisk until creamy

Start with 3 cups of milk

Add in your bouillon and pasta water

Mix until creamy

Add in your cheese shreds

Stir and cook until melted

If sauce is too thick add in more milk

Add in nutritional yeast

Mix until creamy

Taste and season if needed 

Add in your cooked pasta

I like my pasta with a lot of sauce so I use roughly 12oz of pasta but add in what looks best to you

Mix well

Plate

Add a generous amount of chili crisp and green onions

Serve and enjoy!
