Lemon Chicken

Crispy, gooey and flavorful! This is a chinese lemon chicken recipe that brings GOOD chinese food to your own kitchen!


1 package of frozen Beyond Meat chicken grilled strips

1 chicken-less bouillon

1 and 1/3 cup water

2 Lemons

1/3 cup sugar

1 tablespoon corn starch

Lemon pepper and salt

1 bunch of green onions chopped


1/4 cup cornstarch

2 tablespoons of garbanzo bean flour

1/4 teaspoon of baking powder

4.5 tablespoons of water

1.5 teaspoons of egg replacer (not mixed with water)

1-2 cups oil for frying


Cook your beyond meat with the bouillon and 1/3 cup water

Cook until heated thoroughly

Remove from pan and reserve juice

Cut chicken in half width and length wise

Heat your oil in frying pan, should be 1-1/2 inch deep

Mix together your batter, minus the oil

Should be thick

Dip each chicken piece in to fully coat and drop into hot oil

Fry on each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown

Turn every so often to equally fry each side

Continue until all battered chicken is fried

In a small bowl add your reserved juice

Mix in 1 cup water, juice from 2 lemons, sugar, cornstarch salt and pepper

Mix well

Return to pan and heat until it begins to thicken

Pour over your fried chicken pieces

Serve immediately with green onions and lemon slices
