No Beef Grilled Cheese

A simple, delicious, hearty grilled cheese that everyone will love.


Thick bread slices

Gardein beefless tips, slightly thawed then chopped in half

1 bunch of kale, stems removed and roughly chopped

Follow Your Heart Smoked Gouda Slices

Earth Balance Butter, softened

Vegetable oil

1-2 tsp of red wine vinegar

Garlic Salt


Heat a large non stick frying pan over medium high heat

Add in your chopped kale and a little olive oil

Cook 1 minute then add roughly 1/2 tbl of water

Cook until starting to wilt, roughly 5 minutes

Add in your red wine vinegar and salt

Mix well

Remove from pan and set aside

Return pan to heat

Add in 2 tbl of vegetable oil

Add in your chopped beef-less tips

Cook for 5 minutes until starting to brown and crisp up

Remove from pan

Wipe pan dry

Return pan to heat, turn heat to low-medium

Start by making one sandwich:

Take two slices of bread

Spread one side of your bread slices with softened butter

Place into your heated non stick pan, buttered side down

Add 2 slices of cheese to each slice of bread

Allow to melt

Top one slice with a generous amount of your beefless tips

Followed by your kale

Turn other slice of bread on top, cheese side down

Carefully press down the sandwich using a flat spatula

Flip and cook until golden and cheese is melted

(If you have a lid, throw in a little water and cover with the lid to help the cheese melt)

Repeat with remaining ingredients

Serve and enjoy!
