Chow Mein N' Porkless Bites

One way to spice up an already terrific Chow Mein is by adding Gardeins Porkless Bites. In under 30 minutes you will have yourself the best take out chinese food without the take out part.


1 package of Gardein Porkless Bites, prepared

1/2-3/4 package of Simply Asian Chinese style lo mein noodles prepared according to directions

1/2 onion diced

4 stalks of celery, chopped

1 small 8oz can of water chestnuts or bamboo shoots, drained

2 cups of shredded napa cabbage

1/4 cup of chopped green onions, plus 1/4 cup more for garnish

1/3 cup of shredded carrots

2 tbsp minced garlic

Vegetable Oil

1/4 cup of soy sauce

Sesame Seeds Garnish

Sauce Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tsp of minced ginger

2 tbsp of brown sugar

1 tbsp of hoisin sauce

1 tbsp ponzu sauce

1 tsp of sesame oil

Whisk together all ingredients


In a large frying pan add vegetable oil, roughly 2-3 tbsp

Heat over medium high heat

Add your onion and cook for 2-3 minutes add in your chopped celery and cook for an additional 5 minutes

Add in your bamboo or chestnuts

Cook for 2 minutes

Add in your shredded cabbage, garlic, green onion, soy sauce and carrots

Mix well

Add in your noodles and mixed sauce

Mix everything together well and let cook for 5 minutes

Turn off heat

Top with prepared porkless bites

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds

Serve and enjoy
